Students are exposed to a radio frequency electromagnetic field when using Google Glass. The maximum level for safety on the Specific Absorption Scale is 1.6 and Google Glass measures at 1.42 (Bothwick et al., 2015). There are discussions about the safety of using smartphones, Google glasses and wearables inside clothing. Studies have stated that some wearables are possibly carcinogenic (Bilton , 2015) and that children should exercise caution.
